MUTE

Terms of use

Nothing here is for sale yet.

This page covers what mute.maison is while MUTE 01 is unreleased. It is short because the site does one thing: it shows a frame and holds a list.

What this site is

mute.maison is a launch page for a single frame. There is no shop, no basket and no checkout. You cannot place an order here, and no page on this domain will take a card number.

Read everything on it as a description of an object that exists and a release that has not happened. Where a fact is not settled, the site says nothing rather than guessing: that is why you will not see a price, an edition size or a date anywhere on it.

What the list is

Giving us an email address puts you on one list, for one message: the release is open. It is not an order, not a pre-order, and not a reservation. It holds no frame for you and creates no obligation on either side.

What happens to that address is set out on the privacy page.

The words and the photographs

The writing, the photography and the design on this site are ours. Quote a line, link to us, screenshot a page: all fine. Passing the work off as someone else’s, or reusing the photography to sell a frame that is not this one, is not.

What we can and cannot promise about the frame

The measurements and materials published here are the manufacturing specification. The frame is block-cut and finished by hand, so grain, colour depth and polish vary between frames. That is the point of the process, not a fault in it, and no two are identical.

Screens disagree about colour. Nothing on this site should be treated as an exact colour match for the object.

When there is something to buy

Conditions of sale, the trading entity behind them and the statutory rights that come with buying at a distance will be published in full before a single order can be placed. Those terms will govern that sale. This page will not: it describes a site that sells nothing.

Changes

When these words change, the date at the foot of the page changes with them, in the same edit. It is not stamped by the build, so it means what it says.
